Helping Teens Build Confidence, Skills, and Lasting Friendships

Every teen deserves the opportunity to thrive. At Momentum, our teen services help youth build confidence, strengthen life skills, expand social connections, and foster independence—at home, in the centre, or in the community. Led by a Registered Behaviour Analyst, our programs are eligible for coverage through OAP, private insurance, or self-pay options.

Teen One-to-One Services

Some teens excel with personalized encouragement before joining group programs. Our 1:1 services are customized to showcase each teen’s strengths, goals, and interests, offering inspiring options at home, in the centre, or out in the community.

Focus areas may include

  • Independence skills (cooking, budgeting, personal care)
  • Social communication and self‑advocacy
  • Vocational readiness and job preparation
  • Navigating public spaces with confidence

Teen Group Programs

Group programs are designed for teens eager to grow alongside their peers in a supportive, uplifting environment. Before joining Momentum, many teens may feel isolated or struggle to find their voice in social settings. After participating in our programs, they embark on a journey where they gain confidence, build skills, and form lasting friendships. We carefully match groups by age, strengths, and goals so every participant can experience success and feel motivated to achieve more.

Who Group Programs Are Best For

  • Teens who enjoy learning with peers and benefit from light guidance
  • Teens who are mostly independent in daily routines
  • Teens who can participate in a group without disruptive behaviours

What to Expect

  • Evidence‑based ABA strategies in a structured, encouraging environment
  • Opportunities to build friendships and practice real‑world social skills
  • Take‑home materials and a summary report to support ongoing progress

Teen Groups

Groups are offered weekdays 4:30-6:30pm

We believe parents and caregivers are key partners in unlocking every teen’s success. Throughout our programs, families receive regular updates, progress celebrations, and empowering strategies to support learning at home. Parents are invited to share goals and feedback, ensuring each program aligns with their teen’s unique journey. With family involvement, progress grows—becoming a vibrant part of everyday life.
